Voltage Energy Achieves 53GW Global Delivery Milestone, Advances 2kV EBOS Architecture with UL9703 System-Level Validation

Product Innovation and UL 9703 System-Level Certification for 2kV EBOS Architecture
In September 2025, Voltage Energy officially unveiled its newest pre-assembled wiring systems, LYNX PLUS and IBEX PLUS, expanding its plug-and-play EBOS portfolio designed to address critical capacity gaps and simplify installation for utility-scale PV applications.
Building on this introduction, Voltage Energy completed key validation milestones for its full 2kV EBOS architecture under UL 9703 standards, with a formal certification ceremony held jointly with UL Solutions in January 2026. The certification confirms system-level compliance across Voltage Energy’s LYNX PLUS, IBEX PLUS, IBEX, and ALEX product families, reinforcing their reliability and suitability for large-scale solar deployment.
The company also continues to strengthen its North Carolina headquarters and manufacturing facility, supporting both innovation and domestic production capacity to enhance supply chain resilience and ensure consistent delivery performance for global customers.
EBOS Architecture and Outlook for the 2kV Era
The company emphasized that as the industry transitions toward 2kV photovoltaic system architectures, EBOS design has become a decisive factor in determining whether system-level performance gains can be fully realized in the field. While higher voltage enables lower current and longer strings, optimized EBOS architecture is essential to translate these advantages into practical, scalable deployment value.
At a system level, 2kV architectures deliver measurable performance and cost advantages, including a 0.5–0.8% increase in annual energy yield driven by reduced resistive losses and improved string optimization, and a 10–15% reduction in EBOS material usage enabled by fewer parallel runs and a simplified balance-of-system design. Architecturally, higher voltage systems also support longer string configurations with fewer connection points and inverters, significantly simplifying field installation and reducing overall labor complexity.
